The Schneider RM1-XA315 is a non-latching, single-pole magnetic overcurrent relay designed to detect current peaks that exceed a preset permissible level. It is intended for circuits that normally operate without substantial current peaks, including starter and resistor circuits, and for monitoring the starting-current peaks of slip-ring motors. The relay provides instantaneous operation rather than delayed thermal-overload protection. For the RM1-XA315, the recommended motor-current range is 146–230 A, while the adjustable magnetic trip range is 250–800 A. The device supports AC or DC power circuits and is intended for low-frequency switching duties rather than frequent cycling.
