The 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface and can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. The system’s primary applications are vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements. The 3300 XL 8 mm system delivers the most advanced performance in our eddy current proximity transducer systems.

Application
Chemical Plants: Reverse-mounted inside the probe sleeve for non-contact monitoring of axial displacement and rotational speed on large explosion-proof centrifugal compressor trains to prevent excessive shaft movement.
Thermal Power Plants: Installed externally on the sealed bearing housings of steam turbines and boiler feedwater pumps, with clearance adjusted through the sleeve to measure radial vibration and prevent rotor-to-stator rub.
Refineries: Using highly sealed FluidLoc cables to monitor dynamic oil-film clearance in the bearing housings of high-pressure hydrocracking compressors operating in heavily oil-contaminated and explosive environments.
Fertilizer Plants: Reverse-mounted externally on enclosed high-pressure ammonia pumps or high-speed turboexpanders, allowing probe adjustment without removing the machine casing.
Natural Gas Compressor Stations: Applied to large pipeline compressor units driven by gas turbines for long-distance transmission pipelines, providing real-time Keyphasor signals for rotational speed calculation and order analysis.
