The 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface and can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. The system’s primary applications are vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements. The 3300 XL 8 mm system delivers the most advanced performance in our eddy current proximity transducer systems.

A: The shielding drain wire must be grounded only at the monitoring box/junction box (COM end), while the sensor-end shield must be cut and insulated to prevent grounding loops.
Q: Why does the manufacturer not recommend laying CB2W100-032 in parallel with the factory's 400V power cable in the same cable tray?
A: High-frequency interference can be coupled into the 20 AWG signal line by the power cable’s electromagnetic field, causing false vibration alarms.
Q: What is the minimum allowable bending radius when laying a 32-foot CB2W100-032 cable at a corner?
A: Due to its Teflon sheath and twisted-pair shielding, the minimum allowable bending radius should generally not be less than 6 times the cable's outer diameter (approximately 30-40 mm) to prevent internal core breakage.
Q: Can this CB2W100-032 cable be continuously immersed in turbine oil inside the unit's bearing housing?
A: Short-term oil contact is supported by the yellow Teflon (FEP) sheath; for long-term immersion, a stainless steel armored cable version is recommended.
