ABB TU860

The ABB TU860 is a Module Termination Unit (MTU) designed specifically for the Ethernet Fieldbus Communication Interface (FCI) within the ABB S800 I/O system and Select I/O system for System 800xA . It serves as a high-integrity baseplate or backplane that provides the essential physical and electrical interface for mounting and connecting communication modules within an I/O station . The TU860 enables the connection of single or redundant Ethernet FCI modules (CI845) and single or redundant Ethernet Adapters (TC810 for copper media, TC811 for fiber optic media) . This architecture is specifically optimized for mission-critical automation applications where network redundancy and fault tolerance are required to prevent process interruptions.
