The Yokogawa VF702 Control Bus Interface Card is a dedicated communication module that facilitates real-time data exchange by bridging a standard computer’s internal PCI Express bus with Yokogawa's industrial V net control bus network. By seating this card into an expansion slot of a PC/AT-compatible operator or engineering workstation, users can achieve a continuous, deterministic connection to field control units (FCUs) across a distributed control system (DCS). The card features dual BNC connectors to maintain a dual-redundant V net architecture, relies on 10BASE-2 compliant coaxial cabling, and remains fully backward-compatible with older VF701 network card configurations within identical control loops.
