The 6SE7028-0ES87-2DA1 is a MASTERDRIVES braking module designed for regenerative braking operations.
It is specifically applied with MICROMASTER 440 drives of sizes FX and GX (90-200kW range) which lack an integrated braking chopper. 
This module provides a peak braking power P20 of 50 kW (for 20s every 90s), a maximum peak power P3 of 75 kW (for 3s), and a continuous braking power PDB of 12.5 kW.
It requires an external braking resistor, ordered separately as 6SE7028-0ES87-2DC0 (8 Ω). For protection, two 3NE4121 fuses are required for installation.
The module connects to the DC link terminals (C/L+ and D/L-) of the inverter. It includes a fault signaling relay and features a factory-set response threshold of 774V DC, which can be reduced to 673V via an internal switch if needed.

wired in series to automatically open the main contactor, disconnecting the drive inverter from the line supply during faults or overheating. This integrated 

monitoring capability prevents damage, enhances safety, and ensures reliable system operation.
