The Bently Nevada 3701/55 323174-01 is a critical, high-reliability central processing unit designed as the computational engine for the ADAPT Emergency Shutdown Device (ESD) safety system. Engineered to protect mission-critical rotating assets like steam, gas, and hydro turbines, it acts as a standalone safety PLC with a dedicated graphical logic interface and integrated overspeed detection. By deploying three identical 323174-01 CPU modules inside a single chassis to form a Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) voting grid, the processor executes real-time diagnostics, evaluates system faults, and commands lightning-fast 2ms logic decisions to shut down machinery safely in hazardous situations.
