The 3500/42 176449-02 is a Proximitor/Seismic Monitor module, part of the Bently Nevada 3500 Series Machinery Protection System . It is a four-channel monitor designed specifically to protect critical rotating machinery by continuously measuring vibration and position . The monitor accepts inputs from proximity (eddy current) and seismic (accelerometer/velocity) transducers, conditions these signals, and compares them against user-programmable alarms . Its primary purpose is twofold: Provide machinery protection by driving alarms (Alert and Danger), and  provide essential machinery information to operations and maintenance personnel .
