The Bently Nevada 21505-00-28-05-02 is an 8mm Standard Mount Proximity Probe, part of the 7200 Series Proximity Transducer Systems. These systems are non-contacting, gap-to-voltage transducer assemblies that measure both static and dynamic distances between the probe tip and the observed target. This particular model is constructed from Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) , a high-performance plastic capable of withstanding unusually harsh, wet, and/or chemical environments. It is a standard mount design intended for general purpose use, featuring a stainless steel armored cable and body for durability. The probe is designed for critical rotating equipment, where its primary function is to provide accurate, non-contacting displacement measurements, most commonly for shaft position and vibration monitoring.
