During these deceleration phases, the motor acts as a generator, pushing electrical energy back into the drive and threatening to cause a DC bus overvoltage fault. The 1336-WB035 acts as an automatic voltage supervisor: its high-speed Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) chopper logic continuously monitors the internal DC bus. As soon as the DC bus hits its activation threshold of 750V DC, the transistor turns on instantly, routing the excess electrical energy safely out of the drive and into an external, high-power dynamic braking resistor bank.
