Siemens Logistics won a contract for the baggage system at the new airport to provide mature and advanced

baggage handling technology for the T2 terminal of Hefei Xinqiao International Airport in China. The contract

for the baggage handling system includes the delivery of ICS tray technology,rack type early baggage storage system,

and intelligent baggage high-end control software system,which will help Hefei Xinqiao International Airport achieve

the construction goal of an annual throughput of 30 million passengers.Hefei is located in the densely populated East

China region.As the capital of Anhui Province, it has a population of nearly 10 million.

In 2021, the passenger throughput of Hefei Xinqiao International Airport will exceed 8.79 million person-times.According

to the characteristics and processing requirements of the T2 terminal of Hefei Xinqiao International Airport,the efficient baggage

handling system provided by Siemens Logistics is based on the ICS tray VarioTray technology and adopts the "main line transportation

and branch line sorting" mode.With high level management, redundancy,stability,and reliable baggage sorting functions,it will ensure

that Hefei Airport meets the challenges of increasing passenger numbers in the future.The mature and advanced VarioTray tray unloading

station can provide three destinations for baggage transportation to achieve seamless sorting;The entire system adopts full frequency

conversion control to achieve the most efficient energy saving.In addition,Siemens is equipped with a rack type early baggage storage

system (EBS) that can accommodate 700 pieces of baggage,optimizing the transportation of transit baggage,allowing passengers to check in early.
