through Micro800 controllers and automation software enhancements

Manufacturers can use Micro820 controller firmware version 14, Micro850 2080-L50E, 

and Micro870 2080-L70E controller firmware version 22 to more effectively debug a single machine. 

The latest Connected Components Workbench software version 22 is the minimum version required 

to support extended controller functionality and improvements.

These controllers now provide improved Ethernet communication from the controller to the Human 

Machine Interface (HMI) and Monitoring and Data Acquisition (SCADA) applications, enabling faster 

data refresh rates and better system connectivity and performance. The improvement of Class 1 implicit 

message connection check on EtherNet/IP devices in RUN mode allows users to better notify important 

devices of possible connection interruptions.

The new Programmable Controller Communication Command (PCCC) feature in the Micro870 2080-L70E 

controller allows users to communicate with the Micro870 controller like the MicroLogix controller. With 

the support of MicroLogix traditional address mapping and PCCC instruction set in Connected Components 

Workbench software version 22, users can benefit from reducing conversion risks and preserving traditional 

communication methods when modernizing MicroLogix into a Micro800 controller.

As a supplement to controller enhancements, Connected Components Workbench software version 22 provides 

new features that help accelerate project development and system configuration. The bit level comments and 

daylight saving time feature have improved process efficiency, creating a smoother and more intuitive design experience.
