American customers
Reassembly will support customers and ABB's leadership position in the growing robotics industry in the
United States, including packaging and logistics, food and beverage, construction, life sciences and healthcare,
and automotive and electric vehicle production
The new factory is the center of the United States, developing and manufacturing artificial intelligence technology
to help businesses cope with labor shortages, global uncertainty, and the need for more sustainable operations
Since 2019, robots have invested over $30 million in the United States, including packaging and logistics headquarters
in Atlanta, life sciences and healthcare research laboratories in Houston, and research and development centers in San Jose.
ABB has opened a modified US robot headquarters and manufacturing plant in Auburn Hills, Michigan today, which
will support ABB Robotics' global leadership in developing and manufacturing cutting-edge robot solutions in the United States,
the United States, and the Americas. The expanded factory reflects ABB's commitment to long-term growth in the US market,
which is expected to follow an 8% global compound annual growth rate for robotics, as well as the company's global investment
in building robotics and automation capabilities and creating new high skilled jobs. This is ABB's third global expansion of robot
factories in China, Europe, and the Americas in three years, and is also part of its efforts to further strengthen local footprint.
